Some of Australia’s finest wines are produced in the region, with many of the top labels offering cellar door tasting experiences. Taste and buy exceptional local produce in the Hunter Valley and surrounding towns like Broke, including jams, chutneys and cheeses, olive oil, cured meats and confectionary. This region includes many historic village, showcasing its rolling scenery, sweeping landscapes, mountain backdrops, native animals and all with an authentic Aussie country feel. We will pick you up to join the tour from your city hotel / accommodation, or you are welcome to meet us at one of our general city pick up locations.
First stop is at Oliver’s Café en route to the Hunter for a comfort stop, stretch of the legs and time to purchase your morning wake-up coffee before you start your day’s wine tasting!
If the Add On is chosen, we will next visit the Australian Reptile Park with its entertaining native animal demonstration shows, and you will even have the opportunity for a private Koala experience with your very own Zoo keeper!
Visit a selection of up to 4 wineries/cellar doors on our Hunter Valley Wine Tours and enjoy private group wine tastings to sample the many red and white varieties. Take the opportunity to purchase some of the best wine in Australia directly at the cellar door at great prices!
We stop at the Hunter Valley Village for a sit down lunch in a charming local café. After a delicious meal we then visit the tempting Olive Centre to sample Olive oil varieties, Chillis, chutneys and some amazing dips. We also get to experience some local award winning Cheese and Chocolate tastings.
On our return journey to Sydney, we have a not to be missed stop, at some grassy fields near the beautiful Lake Macquarie, where we get to meet and greet up close, the many wild, but tame local Eastern Grey Kangaroos, that live here and we can also pet and to hand fed them!
